One thousand pharmacies will be open around the clock during the Nowruz (Iranian New Year) holidays from March 19-April 1, according to Rasoul Dinarvand, head of the Food and Drug Administration. “All 24/7 pharmacies will be open and operating during the holidays, and their names and locations will be available at all universities of medical sciences across the country,” he said, ISNA reported. He cautioned that patients with serious medical conditions who are in need of medication must provide their prescriptions prior to the New Year, when almost the entire nation, except for emergencies services, is closed for the celebrations.
