Iranian researchers at K. N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran have produced nanosorbents that detect very low amounts of anticancer drugs in biological samples.

Higher speed, lower cost and easy access are among the important advantages of nanosorbents for use in laboratory diagnosis methods, the Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council reports.

The production of appropriate sorbents with high efficiency and simple and cost-effective synthesis methods will be “a stride in the treatment of patients who suffer from cancer.”

Test results showed that nanosorbents can measure very small amounts of asteroid drugs in complex tissues without the need for advanced devices due to its high sorption capacity and high pre-concentration functions.
