A newly-developed risk assessment tool uses information from a survey (Framingham Heart Study) to predict a person’s chances of having a heart attack in the next 10 years.  This tool is designed for adults aged 20 and older who do not have heart disease or diabetes. People can find their risk score, by entering their information including their age, gender, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, smoking and systolic blood pressure in the calculator, the website of the US Heart, Lung and Blood Institute reported. The English language tool is currently available at many health websites in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand.
