The average age of female heads of households in Tehran was 50 eight years ago, but the figure has decreased to between 35-40 years now, said Fahimeh Pirouzfar, head of the Headquarters for Empowering Women affiliated to the Tehran Municipality. “We are in need of a database which contains all information about women breadwinners including their names, address and financial status,” she said on the sidelines of the 8th National Women’s Production Exhibition which opened on Thursday at Boostan-e-Goftegoo Park in Tehran. The exhibition to showcase products by women entrepreneurs across the country will continue till March 13.
