Special Schools Lacking in Remote Areas

The head of Special Needs Education said “there is a shortage of special schools in remote and underprivileged areas.” Majid Ghadami told ISNA that since regular schools do not accept physically challenged students, “they are now educating special needs teachers to be dispatched to those areas.” Poor transportation is another challenge facing special needs students and solving it is a top priority for the department, he added.
