By the end of the upcoming economic, social and cultural development plan (March 2016-2021), 10% of students will be foreigners as the major Iranian universities open their portals for their admission, said Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, president of Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University. “At present, some Asian universities are allocating 25% of their admission capacity to foreign students and some others in the UK and US are allocating 30% of college seats to overseas applicants,” he said speaking at a recent conference to review the sixth plan, IRNA reported. Expanding international scientific cooperation is a priority in the upcoming plan.
