A one-day symposium on Iranian and Chinese traditional medicines will be held February 23 at the Health Ministry premises in Tehran. A visiting Chinese delegation headed by Prof. Liu Baoyan, WHO advisor on Traditional Medicine and Vice President of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences will attend the event, reports ILNA. The symposium seeks to introduce and expand on traditional medicine of Iran and China, while creating a platform for both sides to present their techniques in integrating traditional medicine into the national healthcare system. Liu will also meet with Mahmoud Khodadoost, deputy for Traditional Medicine at the Health Ministry, to discuss avenues of cooperation in production of natural herbs.
