Iranian engineers will be honored for their efforts on National Engineer’s Day, observed annually on February 24. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, (1201-1274) Persian polymath and prolific writer who is one of the greatest Persian scholars of the Islamic Golden Age, reports Mehr News Agency. According to research conducted by the World Economic Forum 2015, Iran with 233,695 graduates in engineering, manufacturing and construction ranks third globally on the list of countries with the most number of engineering graduates every year. Russia leads with a total of 454,000 graduates annually, followed by the United States with 237,826.
