The country’s largest center for burn injuries with 130 beds, the Amir-al-Momenin Hospital, was inaugurated on Tuesday in Shiraz, capital of Fars province, in the presence of Health Minister Seyed Hassan Hashemi. “Nineteen million dollars has been spent on construction and equipment of the center, half of which was provided by philanthropists,” IRNA quoted Hashemi as saying. The hospital which is specialized in treating adult and pediatric burns, is equipped with high-tech facilities including a skin bank.
