Iran and Thailand have signed a five-year MoU on nanotechnology, biotechnology, genetics and medical cooperation.
During the recent visit of Thai deputy prime minister, Somkid Jatusripitak, to Tehran for developing bilateral trade and economic ties, a MoU was signed between Dr. Sa’eed Sarkar, head of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) and Sirirurg Songsivilai, executive director of Thailand’s National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), Mehr News Agency reported.
The agreement aims to create and develop joint activities in the field of science, technology and innovation, exchange programs among scientists and researchers, granting scholarships and conducting joint research in mutually agreed fields and holding conferences.  The two sides also signed agreements to cooperate in the fields of medicine, biotechnology and genetics.
