Mirza-ye Shirazi Metro Station located on Tehran Metro Line 3 will open on February 17, increasing the current number of stations to 97. The metro station is located on Shahid Beheshti St. near Vali-e-Asr Avenue, said Habil Darvishi, managing director of Tehran Metro Company. “The station will provide an additional capacity for commute by 30,000 passengers,” IRNA quoted him as saying. Tehran Metro carries more than 3 million passengers a day. The subway system is 168 km long and comprises four operational lines with 97 stations.
