A symposium on Vascular Hypertension Therapy and Cardiovascular Consultation will be held at Tehran’s Parsian Azadi Hotel February 19. “Vascular hypertension is a major risk factor in cardiovascular diseases and a large part of the conference will be dedicated to the issue,” said Masoud Qasemi, head of the Iranian Society of Atherosclerosis. Organized by the society, faculty members of Tehran’s top medical sciences universities, including Shahid Beheshti, will attend the one-day event, Borna News Agency reported. Latest pharmaceutical achievements in the field will be presented, namely introduction of a new calcium-sensing receptor antagonist and angiotensin receptor blockers that have recently entered the market.
