The 4th International Congress on Cochlear Implants and Related Sciences will be held on April 27-29 in Shiraz, Fars Province, said Dr. Seyyed Basir Hashemi, head of the scientific committee for the event. “More than 8,000 cochlear implants have been performed in Iran so far, with over 1,000 in Shiraz, and there are 11 cochlear implant centers active across the country,” he said, Borna News Agency reported. Organized by the Iranian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the three-day event will be attended by Iranian and foreign experts and specialists from the UK, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, the UAE, Lithuania, Netherlands, Serbia, Belgium, Turkey, and Morocco to present the latest achievements in the field.
