Following an agreement with the Health Ministry, Khatam-al-Anbia Construction Headquarters, an Iranian engineering firm, will provide 18,000 beds to hospitals in the country. Commander Ebadellah Abdollahi, head of Khatam-al-Anbiya and Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh-Hashemi signed the MoU recently to add 1000 beds in Lorestan Province hospitals in western Iran, Mehr News Agency reported. “After several meetings with the minister over the past months, it was decided that our firm would supply 18,000 beds to hospitalsy,” Abdollahi said, adding that the provision will be based on the priorities defined by the ministry. The firm, affiliated to the Islamic Revolution’s Guard Corps (IRGC), is one of the ‘s largest contractors in industrial and development projects. Established during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war to help rebuild the country, it has diversified over the years into companies dealing with mechanical engineering, energy, mining and defense.
