The first round of an international conference on ‘Cyberspace and Lifestyles’ was held at the International Studies Department of Tehran University on Wednesday. The conference, attended by secretary of Supreme Council of Cyberspace Abolhassan Firouzabadi, aimed to address challenges and threats posed by cyberspace and social media on present-day lifestyles and family structures, IRNA reported. It also discussed proposals and made recommendations to policy-makers and competent organizations, including the harnessing of existing capacities to boost development within cyberspace. The conference was held jointly by UNESCO and the university’s Cyberspace Policy Research Center.
