Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi and the French ambassador to Tehran, Francis Foucher, met on Tuesday to explore avenues of academic and scientific cooperation between the two sides.
A memorandum of understanding is being drawn up and will be signed by science ministers of both states during President Hassan Rouhani’s visit to France next week, ILNA reported. “The MoU will prepare a five-year framework for scientific cooperation between France and Iran,” Foucher noted. Farhadi said cooperation should go beyond traditional tie-ups and extend to areas such as knowledge-based companies and science and technology parks.
