The Law Enforcement Forces (LEF) plans to set up a quality control center to monitor the performance of crime laboratories across the country, said Afshin Khara, head of the LEF Records and Identification Division. “Iran has a good record in criminal investigation, and aims to develop its infrastructure further as per the 2020 Vision plan,” he said, ILNA reported. Noting that the division currently has a specialized workforce, Khara underlined the significance of up-to-the-minute information management systems and state-of-the-art identification services and technologies for expedient performance on the crime scene.
