Iran’s Amir Kabir University of Technology (AUT) has signed a MoU with the Middle Technical University of Baghdad and Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University of Najaf in Iraq. “The two Iraqi universities have 30,000 students in different educational programs and levels and are willing to have tie-ups with AUT,” said Ahmad Mousavi Shoushtari, an official at AUT International Campus, Mehr News Agency reported. Under the first phase of the MoU “students will spend the first year of their higher education in Iraq and after passing the prerequisites and language courses, will spend the remaining two years at AUT.” The MoU becomes operational as of October.
