The software for literacy education via mobile phone is in its final stages of development, said Ali Baqerzadeh, head of Iran’s Literacy Movement Organization (LMO). Providing educational programs to illiterates through mobile phone is still in research stage. With the production of the software, a pilot project will be implemented, which would cover 100 illiterate people, Alef News Agency quoted him as saying. If successful, the project will cover more people in the next phase. E-learning is far cheaper and takes less time, he added.
