Health slogans aimed at reducing obesity and promoting healthy lifestyles, have appeared on billboards in the capital Tehran.
A number of health slogans have been printed on the billboards across the city in an initiative dubbed the ‘Healthy Citizen,’ encouraging people to exercise and follow healthy diets to stay fit, reports IRNA.
Creative designs and slogans by renowned Iranian artists are displayed on the billboards in the campaign that started on January 5, to urge people to eat healthy and stay in shape. The artworks will be showcased on more than 1,500 billboards for 10 days.
Tehran Beautification Organization has chosen the slogans and designs in partnership with 90 renowned graphic designers from the capital, at a three-day workshop.
The campaign was initiated by the Tehran Municipality (TM).
The slogans focus on prevention methods for diseases such as cancer and AIDS, and the dangers of consuming excess salt, fat, and sugar.
Last May, the TM had launched a campaign entitled ‘A Gallery as Big as a City’ by displaying a total of 700 distinguished artworks including reproductions of traditional Persian miniatures, carpets, calligraphy as well as famous world paintings on more than 1,500 billboards across the city for ten days making the capital city a huge art gallery.
