A celebration “Farewell to Cancer” was held for 30 children who were declared cancer-free by Mahak Hospital and Rehabilitation Complex in Tehran. Children who had been dealing with the disease for years wore their “cancer-free” medals for the ceremony as volunteers and supporters celebrated the quarter-century cooperation with the charity, IRNA reports. The Mahak Society to Support Children with Cancer is a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping children with cancer. It offers financial assistance to over 13,000 children suffering from cancer and supportive services to families. So far, 4,390 cancer children have been treated and cured.
