Any claims about Caspian Sea fish being unhealthy is baseless, said Ali-Asghar Khanipour, director of the National Inland Water Aquaculture Institute.
“We don’t say that the Caspian Sea is free from pollutants, but the fact is the amount is within permissible levels,” he maintained. No studies have been conducted so far “to measure the impact of existent pollutants on different marine species,” IRNA quoted Khanipour as saying.
