Nearly 32 new knowledge-based products were unveiled in the presence of vice president of science and technology, Sourena Sattari, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, and Minister of Science and Technology, Mohammad Farhadi, at an official ceremony in Tehran on Sunday. The products include aviation turbine fuel engine, building management software, speed cameras and license plate readers, comprehensive geographic information system, diagnostic kits for infectious diseases, smart engine-room, electronic stair climbing wheelchair, automated incident management software tool, herbal medicine, and new telecommunications equipment. The products were funded by the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, established two years ago to support domestic innovation and economic development by offering financial assistance and loans to knowledge-based firms and academic projects, ISNA reported.
