The 32nd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent will be held December 8-10 in Geneva, Switzerland. Held every four years, the global forum brings together the 189 national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). It focuses largely on humanitarian issues and seeks to contribute to the unity of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and development of international humanitarian law. Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Seyyed Amirmohsen Ziaei, will attend the meeting, ISNA reported.
