The Caucasus University Association (CUA) signed memorandums of understanding with several Iranian universities on Saturday on mutual cooperation. Under the MoUs, the CUA and Iranian Universities of Applied Sciences, Al-Zahra, Allameh Tabatabaee, Mohaghegh Ardebili, University of Medical Sciences and Ardebil Islamic Azad University will build scientific, research and cultural cooperation, reports IRNA. “Scientific and cultural collaboration between the academic centers can be instrumental in developing relations among members of the association,” said Dr. Ramazan Korkmaz, head of the CUA. “In today’s world we need to expand scientific and cultural cooperation to help ensure a better future for the regional states,” he said. The CUA was founded seven years ago by seven universities from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran, headed by Prof. Korkmaz. It is based in Ardahan, a city in northeastern Turkey.
