With the aim to reflect the latest scientific news and events, Tehran University has decided to launch the Tehran University News Agency, said Seyed Ahmad Reza Khezri, director general of university’s public relations office. The news agency will have hundreds of active student reporters, IRNA quoted him as saying. It was not very clear why, despite the existence of hundreds of news agencies and other news outlets, the university needs to create an agency of its own. Tehran University has been ranked among the top 300 universities in the world based on the 2015 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
