The draft for the national document on autism spectrum disorder is being worked out and will be signed by the health, education, and social welfare ministers in February, said Muhammad Taqi Cheraghali, senior advisor to the deputy health minister. “The document will be implemented in the upcoming sixth five-year economic development plan (2016-21),” he told ISNA. ASDs and other developmental disorders require cooperation among a number of ministries, Cheraghali noted, adding that a national document will help organize and execute programs to address the problem.
