Every year, 20,000-30,000 inmates in detention centers benefit from educational services offered by the Literacy Movement Organization, said LMO director Ali Baqerzadeh. “We have signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran’s Prisons Organization to set up local learning annexes at detention centers and provide education to prisoners, particularly juveniles,” he told Mehr News Agency. He said courses include 200 hours of education in life and social skills as well as civil conduct.
