Illegal constructions in river environs will be dealt with severely in accordance with the law, IRNA quoted Mazandaran Governor Rabi’ Fallah Jelodar as saying.
Indiscriminate and illegal constructions in recent years have resulted in hindering the natural flow of rivers, thereby increasing the incidence of floods. Autumn rainfall in West Mazandaran has resulted in floods and some residential houses have been damaged.
