A smart insulin production line is being designed for the first time in the country and is expected to be launched in Isfahan in the near future, said Hamid Sane’i, the deputy head of the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.
Speaking on the eve of World Diabetes Day, (November 14), he said the project will provide diabetic patients with high quality medications, reports ISNA
The most efficient way to control diabetes is taking pills, insulin injection and proper diet. Sane’i said that surgery works only for “very fat” diabetic people, since shedding weight helps the body reduce resistance to insulin and leads to blood sugar control.
Studies show that more than 5 million Iranians are diabetic and among them 90% suffer from type 2 diabetes.
