Nanoparticle Micro-Reactor

Researchers at Tehran University have designed a micro-reactor to produce nanoparticles in controlled sizes for the pharmaceutical industry. “The device is made of plexiglass and has two entrance and exit channels, allowing separate control of entrance and exit currents,” said Mina Ashrafi-Moqaddam, the lead author of the project study, ISNA reported. Nanoparticles produced by the system will increase bioavailability. The newly developed system can also be used for production of organic, inorganic and polymeric nanoparticles as well as in chemical industries.
