Three truckloads containing 400 tents and 1000 blankets have been sent to the quake-stricken regions of Afghanistan, said Morteza Salimi, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society team in Afghanistan. Officials of the Afghan National Disaster Management Authority and the visiting IRCS team on Monday discussed relief operations, Salimi said, quoted by IRNA. The death toll in the magnitude 7.5 earthquake that rocked Pakistan and Afghanistan last week has risen to over 385.
