The Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) will host the Health Technology Conference on November 9 and 10.
A first of its kind, the conference aims to introduce the latest achievements and innovations in health technology and appreciate the contributions of pioneers in medical science research, IRNA reported.
Mohammadreza Monazam, head of University-Industry Collaboration Office of TUMS, said the event marks the national day of University and Health Tech, and also the World Science Day for Peace and Development (Nov. 10).
The program includes keynotes and presentation of knowledge-based products developed by Tehran University professors and researchers. A new technical breakthrough will be introduced, he said.
Three technical panels, four educational workshops and an exhibition of Tehran University’s innovative tech products would run on the sidelines of the conference. A scientific tour of the TUMS Central Research Laboratory will be conducted.
Monazam said TUMS has also planned a series of academic grants to support health tech research and knowledge-based businesses. He invited all heads of faculties, professors, postgraduate students and senior staff and research centers to take part in the event.
Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari and Health Minister Hassan Hashemi are due to attend.
