Two Iranians are among 27 young researchers who won the prestigious ‘Green Talents’ award at the International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development. They include Mohammad Ardekani, researcher in South Africa, who is focusing on optimizing concentrated solar power plants, and Amirhossein Mousavi, a postdoctoral researcher at Austria’s University of Graz, working on predictive decision models. The annual event, held under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, strives to enhance international R&D cooperation in sustainable development, especially with threshold and developing countries. Open to a broad spectrum of disciplines from chemistry to urban planning, the competition invites young scientists to participate in a two-week science forum in Germany, MNA reported. A high-ranking jury of German experts selects winners from numerous applicants. The award-winners are granted exclusive access to Germany’s unique research facilities and elite.
