The number of night bus services operating on specific routes in the capital will soon increase to nine, said Payman Sanandaji, managing director of the Tehran Bus Company. “In September, two of them commenced plying 24/7, carrying 25,000 passengers on an average per day,” he said, Mehr News Agency reported. Additionally, nine BRT (bus rapid transport) lines are also separately operating round the clock. The two services already in operation run from Rah Ahan (railway) Square in south  Tehran to Damavand Street in the eastern part of the city, and from the Southern Bus Terminal to Ferdowsi Square in central Tehran.
