Funding for nomad students’ education has increased by 247% under the Rouhani administration, compared to the allocation by the previous government, said Ali Naghi Yazdanpanah, director general of the Education Ministry’s Office for Less Developed Regions.  This calendar year (started March 21), $36.4 million has been allocated to renovate schools in nomadic areas in Sistan-Baluchistan, Hormuzgan and West Azarbaijan provinces increasing pre-school coverage by 40.3%, he said, quoted by IRNA.  At present, 167,500 nomad students in different age groups are enrolled in 6,115 schools in the less developed regions.
