A center to prevent social ills among students was established at the Education Ministry, said Mehrzad Hamidi, deputy minister for physical education and health. “A multi-faceted package containing data from all regions in the country has been drawn up, and we have made specific plans to protect students from social harm,” he told Mehr News Agency. A national screening system has also been set up where all competent organizations and affiliated bodies will convene to identify potential risks to students, and take decisions to address them.
