IRCS Offers to Help Quake Victims

The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is ready to send relief and medical teams to Afghanistan and Pakistan that were hit by a powerful earthquake on Monday. In a message to his Afghan and Pakistani counterparts, Amir Mohsen Ziaee, IRCS president said, “We are ready to support the Red Crescent Society in Afghanistan and Pakistan in their rescue and relief operations in the quake-affected regions. More than 260 people died, mostly in Pakistan, after the magnitude 7.5 earthquake hit north-eastern Afghanistan. Tremors from the quake were also felt in northern India and Tajikistan.
