The 20th ‘vision screening’ program for three to six-year-old children started on October 25 at 2,500 SWO medical centers across the country and will continue for the next two months according to the State Welfare Organization. The cost of screening each child is less than $1.5. Last year (ended March 20), 75% of three to six-year-olds were covered by the program, IRNA reported. The SWO offer grants to poor children who need spectacles or corrective surgery, to help cover the cost of treatment and other expenses.
