Two full-fledged studies incorporating global experiences to identify and offer new fields of medical sciences in varsities were conducted by the office of the educational deputy at the Health Ministry. “About 300 new fields were identified, which can be integrated into the higher education system,” said educational deputy Dr. Baqer Larijani, ISNA reported. A map of various fields of medical sciences in the country has been prepared. The measure aims to expand the horizon of medical sciences according to the domestic requirements and capacities. “Developing diverse academic fields in medicine will help turn Iran into a regional scientific hub,” he said.
