In the first six months of the current year (started March 21), 81,982 requests for uncontested divorce were registered in the country, said Ali Mohammad Zanganeh, director general for social and cultural affairs in the Judiciary. Uncontested divorce has seen an increase in recent years. In the previous year (ended March 20), 27,320 uncontested divorces were registered in the country, ISNA reported.
