Iran’s Bank Melli will issue organ donation cards in a selective number of branches. The cards were unveiled during a ceremony attended by bank CEO Abdolnaser Hemmati and Ali Akbar Velayati, head of Maseeh Daneshvari Hospital and the Organ Transplant Support Society, IRNA reported. “Bank Melli has always spearheaded and supported charitable projects and we are proud to be the first country in organ donation in the region,” Hemmati said. The bank will also offer donors financial services such as loans.
