Three new hospitals will be established in the southwest province of Khuzestan by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2016) in cooperation with the Arvand Free Trade Zone Organization and the Mostazafan Foundation (for the oppressed and disabled), said deputy health minister Iraj Harirchi.
“The hospitals will meet the demand of Abadan County,” he said, Borna News Agency reported.
A major development in the provincial health sector was the inauguration of a 100-bed ward in Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Abadan city which offers dialysis, radiology, and emergency services.
“The advancements have attracted general practitioners and specialists from other regions to the province to promote the quality of healthcare services,” he added.
