The ‘even-odd’ traffic plan in the capital is still under implementation, said Iloosh Vaziri, managing director of Tehran Traffic Control Company (TTCC). Denying reports that “surveillance cameras have been turned off,” he said there are 70 cameras installed in the ‘even-odd’ zones which report daily to the main server. Vaziri also pointed to the need for more CCTV cameras for close monitoring to implement the Low Emission Zone system, and help meet international standards.
