The Iranian Red Crescent Society and the International Federation of Red Cross signed a memorandum of understanding to provide food to the distressed people in Somalia. “Given the increasing collaboration between IRCS and IFRC, Iran is reaching out to a large number of people in need across the world, including Somalia and Kenya, in areas of food and food security, health and sanitation, and disease-risk reduction,” said Amir Mohsen Ziaei, head of IRCS. Based on the MoU signed by IFRC Secretary General Elhadj As Sy and Ziaei during a video conference, the two sides will cooperate to assist people in the poor African country, Borna News Agency reported.
