Heavy rainfall across the country on Friday saw flooding in six cities in Mazandaran Province including Sari, Babolsar, Babol, Behshahr, Neka and Qaemshahr. The Iranian Red Crescent Society sent rescue teams to the affected areas to provide relief operations to 800 people and drain 25 residential buildings, said deputy assistant of IRCS Relief and Rescue Unit, Hossein Darvishi, ILNA reported. Iran’s Meteorological Organization has warned people living alongside rivers and riverbanks of the potential threat of flooding as precipitation will continue for some days in northeast, northwest, and the Alborz Mountains.
