‘Damavand’ Resumes Bottled Water Production

The company that produces ‘Damavand’ bottled water has reopened and resumed operations after health and safety inspections, said Rasoul Dinarvand, head of the Food and Drug Administration.

The company and its products were scrutinized based on the updated water safety protocols, and “it is permitted to resume bottled water production,” he told IRNA. The well-known brand was shut down earlier this month due to its product containing microbial contaminants.

The company made several revisions to its water treatment and packaging procedures. After examining the new water samples, the FDA announced that its bottled water is safe to drink.
