Tehran Metro Line 3 will be fully functional by the end of this year (March 20, 2016), said Habil Darvishi, Managing Director of Tehran Metro Company.
About 7 km of Line 3 became operational in December 2012, followed by 12 km in April 2014.The last section of the line was inaugurated last month and four stations were put into operation, increasing its length to a total of 37 km. The line has 14 stations. Line 3 is to be extended to Eslamshahr in the south and to Lavasan in northeast and Tajrish in the north by the year-end, reports IRNA.
