The year 2015 has seen the worst outbreak of dengue in the Indian capital Delhi in the last six years. The death toll rose to 25 with municipal corporations notifying eight more on Thursday. The total number of cases of the mosquito-borne disease has reached 6,486. In 2010, Delhi had reported eight deaths and 6,259 cases in the entire season. The disease will continue to affect patients till November, after which it is likely to decline. The Delhi government added 400 new beds in three of its hospitals on Friday, as part of its initiative to procure 1,000 beds to combat the worst outbreak of dengue the capital has ever witnessed, NDTV reported.
