Although not officially acknowledged yet, the internet campaign ‘My Better Half’ took off during the National Marriage Week (September 15-21).
The campaign is active since mid-September on various social networks such as twitter and instagram, reports ISNA.
“Spouses can name and share good qualities of their partners online to spread a positive approach towards matrimony and married life,” said Mohammadreza Rostami, advisor to the minister of sports and youth affairs.
Such campaigns can help alleviate “the negative aspects of the virtual world and train the collective Iranian psyche on constructive attitudes towards marriage,” he said.
